The Colonels’ football team is just one of the many athletic programs at Eastern Kentucky University set to experience major renovations to their facilities. Roy Kidd Stadium is scheduled for improvements to existing facilities in addition to increased seating for Colonel fans. It is just one step in the continued growth of Eastern’s football program, which could also include an invite to a FBS conference. July 7 through July 9, the Kentucky Speeway will be open for business as Nascar comes to the Bluegrass. The Speedway will host three prime time races under the lights in Sparta, and it will be one of the more exciting weekends for the track in a long time. 3-Star Florida safety Ahman Ross recently narrowed his potential college list to five schools decommitting from Miami, and U of L made the cut. He will be visiting the Louisville campus in July as part of the “Light up the ‘Ville” camp hosted by Bobby Petrino’s staff. According to Scout.com, five-star 2017 big man Mitchell Robinson has verbally committed to Western Kentucky. We recently spoke to Evan Daniels about Mitchell and what his commitment would mean for the Hilltoppers.
