For an unprecedented fourth season in a row, the UK softball team has been selected as an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament. The 29-28 Cats will take on the Michigan Wolverines this Friday in Louisville. Coach Rachel Lawson joined Chip via skype on Wednesday to talk about the tournament.  Read more 

More than a thousand student athletes are in Louisville this week to compete in the 2012 NCAA Division II National Championships Festival. It’s the only place in the NCAA where six champions will be crowned in a single event – for softball, women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s golf and men’s and women’s tennis. The Louisville Magic will head to Bloomington for the Adidas Classic this weekend.  The Magic are coached by ex-UofL player Ellis Myles, who has managed to round up some of the state’s top young talent.   The Magic is so loaded that they were able to win the Run ‘n’ Slam tournament in Fort Wayne last weekend without one of its top players, former Louisville Central star DeAngelo Russell.
