Saturday afternoon Louisville and 6th ranked Auburn kick off the season in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The Tigers have the shorter trip, based just 90 minutes from Atlanta. However there are many Cards who will have their own supporters in the stands Saturday. That’s because many of the UofL players come from the southeast, and know many of the Auburn players. There has been a lot of texting going on in the days leading up to the game.... Read more

Defense saves the day for WKU

09/03/2015 11:52 PM

In a complete role reversal from last year, Western Kentucky’s Defense came up big, as the Hilltoppers prevented a Vanderbilt two point conversion, to hold on for the 14-12 victory. It is WKU’s 6th straight win dating back to last season. The first half was a comedy of errors as five different Hilltopper receivers dropped passes. Stanley Absanon made Valpo pay, returning... Read more

Eastern Kentucky is favored to beat Valparaiso tonight in the opener for both teams. EKU is coming off a 9-4 season while the Crusaders won just four games last year. One aspect of football that is impossible to control is luck. However, at the risk of jinxing the Colonels, they have been lucky when it comes to health. Eastern Kentucky should have close to a full compliment of players for the 7pm ET kickoff.  Read more

09/03/2015 06:30 AM

UofL Head Football Coach Bobby Petrino knows who will start at quarterback Saturday afternoon when his Cardinals take on 6th ranked Auburn. However he is not saying.
