Newly acquired pitcher John Lamb made his first start as a Bat on Wednesday night, but it took him a costly inning to find his stride. After beginning the game with a walk, the Knights brought home three runs in the first inning to get an early jump on Louisville. The basketball saga that is Maverick Rowan should be winding down soon. The g/f who was originally in the 2016 class before reclassifying over the summer is getting close to a decision. Louisville was thought to be the front runner for the sharpshooter’s services before falling out of favor only to return again. Former UofL wide receiver Kai De La Cruz received good news today in the form of a contract with The Miami Dolphins. De La Cruz was one of three free agent players to sign with the Dolphins this morning. He is also the second wide receiver to join the Miami roster this year after his teammate Devante Parker was taken 14th overall in this year’s draft. He is one of the top assistant coaches in the NBA. His name is Darren Erman and he currently works under New Orleans Pelicans Head Coach Alvin Gentry. However recently it was Erman in the spotlight. He returned to his hometown of Louisville to be inducted into the Jewish Community Center Hall of Fame.
