Owensboro Catholic basketball star Becca Greenwell was one of a handful of high schoolers inducted in last week’s Hall of Fame. Greenwell, who set a national record earlier this year with seventeen three-pointers in one game will be playing at Duke in the fall and even though she’s leaving Kentucky, she wants fans to still cheer for her.  Read more 

Montrezl Harrell One Step Closer to Playing in Czech Republic

Montrezl Harrell is one of 16 finalists for USA Basketball’s 19 and under team that will play in the World Championship in Prague later this month. The UofL forward has previous USA Basketball experience, having played on the U18 team last year. He averaged 6-points, 4-rebounds and had 27 blocks as a freshman for the Cards last season. UofL Baseball Must Win Against Oregon State

On Monday, the goal of the UofL baseball team was to try and bounce back from their tough 2-0 loss to Indiana on Saturday at the college world series. Today’s opponent in this double-elimination round was Oregon State, which was one of the top five programs for much of this season. Pervis Ellison Inducted into KY Athletic Hall of Fame

Former UofL basketball star Pervis “Never Nervous” Ellison was one of seven inductees Thursday night in the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame. Ellison, who was named the Most Valuable Player in the 1986 Final Four when UofL beat Duke for the championship, says he was thrilled with the honor, especially in a year when the Cards clinched the school’s third crown.  Read more 

Kevin Ware is Awesome!

Kevin Ware recently paid a hospital visit to Brianna Boel, a 14-year-old who was one of two teenage girls struck by a car. Boel is the daughter of TV reporter John Boel. According to John, Brianna had just had two rods implanted in her broken right leg, and had been sobbing before Ware showed up for an unexpected visit. John says Ware signed Brianna’s cast with the words – Pinky Promise – You will be fine. Read more
