Garrett is a Sports Producer for Spectrum News. He is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State and got his start as a sports photographer. He now produces Sports Night, the state’s only nightly show dedicated to in-depth coverage of all sports in Kentucky. Sports Night airs weeknights at 6:30 and 10:30 on Spectrum News or anytime with Spectrum On Demand. Outside the station, Garrett enjoys golfing, hiking, fishing, and prides himself on being all-in as a sports spectator. He won a gift card for playing an air guitar in the student section during an MTSU basketball game. The no. 17 Louisville football team outmatched FCS foe Murray State in every facet of Saturday’s 55-10 victory. The Cards cruised to their second straight win behind a complete offensive performance, accumulating 676 yards and seven touchdowns. Junior quarterback Lamar Jackson lit up the scoreboard in the first half, before relinquishing the offense to redshirt feshman backup Jawon Pass. University of Louisville interim president Dr. Greg Postel told reporters on Friday morning that the school intends to name an interim head men’s basketball coach on Friday afternoon. He also added that UofL will not name an interim director of athletics until next week. That announcement is planned to take place on “Tuesday or Wednesday,” according to UofL Director of Media Relations John Karman III. The Kentucky State football team is preparing for Central State University this weekend. The Thorobreds are 1-2 to start the season, but this game will be a huge opportunity to build some momentum. The game is being played in Indianapolis on Saturday, and kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 pm ET. The matchup is on a bigger stage than normal for D-II KSU.
