Garrett is a Sports Producer for Spectrum News. He is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State and got his start as a sports photographer. He now produces Sports Night, the state’s only nightly show dedicated to in-depth coverage of all sports in Kentucky. Sports Night airs weeknights at 6:30 and 10:30 on Spectrum News or anytime with Spectrum On Demand. Outside the station, Garrett enjoys golfing, hiking, fishing, and prides himself on being all-in as a sports spectator. He won a gift card for playing an air guitar in the student section during an MTSU basketball game. The University of Louisville baseball team started its run in the 2017 College World Series with an exciting win over Texas A&M, holding off an Aggies comeback and winning 8-4 at TD Ameritrade Park. U of L (53-10) took an early lead after plating five runs in the second inning, and it was enough to survive a mid-innings rally by Texas A&M (41-22). The current head coach of Christian Academy of Louisville is hosting the first Bluegrass Quarterback Challenge. The NCAA Committee on Infractions released its ruling today regarding the sex scandal revolving around the University of Louisville basketball program.
