Since coming to Kentucky, Mark Stoops and his staff have excelled at identifying high school talent early. The latest young prospect the football program is after is 2020 quarterback Beau Allen out of Lexington Catholic High School, which is located less than three miles from the University of Kentucky’s campus. Hamidou Diallo has six days to decide whether he wants to stay in the NBA draft or return to Kentucky for the 2017-2018 season. The potential first round pick has been working out with NBA teams this week. Diallo worked out for the Bulls on Monday and the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday. Former Kentucky big man Bam Adebayo is hoping to hear his name called in the first round of this year’s NBA Draft. ESPN’s Chad Ford projects Adebayo to picked 23rd by the Toronto Raptors. Meanwhile, DraftExpress has Adebayo falling to the second round, 32nd overall to the Phoenix Suns. John Calipari officially welcomed three signees to Kentucky’s top-ranked 2017 class on Thursday. Kevin Knox, Jarred Vanderbilt and Jemarl Baker signed their letters of intent to join the Wildcats for the 2017-2018 season. The three spring signees will join Quade Green, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, P.J. Washington and Nick Richards in Lexington this summer. UK softball gearing up to host NCAA regional this weekend

The Kentucky softball team begins NCAA tournament play this weekend and they’ll get to do so at home. The Cats earned a No. 14 national seed and will serve as regional hosts this weekend for a double-elimination style bracket. They open play against DePaul at 2:30pm on Friday. Kentucky linebacker Courtney Love has been named to the 2017 Lott impact trophy watch list. Love was one of 42 players named to the watch list.
