Former Kentucky basketball player Josh Carrier is in his first year as an assistant coach for the Northern Kentucky women’s basketball team. After spending the last 10 years working in the private sector and serving as an AAU coach, Carrier wanted to devote his full career toward coaching. Malik Monk chasing Jamal Murray's scoring record

Malik Monk is closing in on the Kentucky freshman single-season scoring record set by Jamal Murray last year. Monk, who has been one of the best freshmen in the country this season, has scored 590 points through 28 games (21.1 PPG). Murray set the record last season by scoring 720 points through 36 games. Bam Adebayo had a career night as Kentucky hung on to avoid a big upset and beat Missouri 72-62. Adebayo was dominant down low, scoring 22 points and grabbing a career-high 15 rebounds, giving him his fourth double-double of the season. The importance of strong play from the seniors down the stretch

Derek Willis, Mychal Mulder and Dominique Hawkins all stepped up on Saturday to help Kentucky beat Georgia. Willis scored seven points and tied his career-high by grabbing 12 rebounds. Hawkins scored nine points and played blistering defense. Mulder also scored nine points and established himself as another outside threat for the Wildcats.
